Consort Group are pleased to announce the opening of a new rapid prototyping design office on the west coast of the United States. Situated in Hillsboro, Oregon, the office will support Consort’s semi-conductor client base in the US, which has expanded significantly in recent years.
Consort Group are partnering with Matthew Goodstein, Principal Consultant at Cobia, LLC. Matt is a highly regarded professional with 30 years’ experience in the semi-conductor industry working in the fab, warehouse, and supply chain operations.
Matthew has in-depth knowledge of cleanroom operations and the support logistics required to maintain world-class production in a technology development environment. He will manage the day-to-day operations at the new Hillsboro location and is the domestic point of contact with chip manufacturing and parts clean vendors.
Commenting on the new venture, Richard Kimpton, General Manager of Consort Group had this to say “Our new office in the US represents a significant milestone for us. The investment is further proof of our commitment to that market where close proximity and on-site support are highly valued.”
To help support the expansion, Consort Group have made a number of additional hires in their Waterford office in Ireland, most notably in the area of digitization, where Andreia Gomes has been appointed to oversee the necessary steps in streamlining operations.
